The origin

The story of Oud

Oud, also called Agarwood, is the resin that forms within Aquilaria trees as an immunological reaction to the attack of a parasite, Phaeoacremonium parasitica. It is a woody, intense, resinous, warm, slightly smoky smell, at times animalic, powerful, deep, complex, aphrodisiacal, hypnotic.

In Oud Patchouli by Alyssa Ashley, there are saffron notes and spicy facets, sandalwood-inspired woody aspect, and earthy facets are enhanced.
